Are these tools really free?
Yes, with no sign-up, no email capture and no usage limit. They run in your browser rather than on a server, which is also why the numbers you type into them never leave your machine.
Do I need an account to use them?
No. Nothing on this page asks who you are. They exist because the questions they answer — what format is this number, where is this area code, can I call this country right now — come up constantly and the existing answers online are mostly wrong.
Can I use these tools commercially?
Yes. Format numbers for a client list, check area codes for a campaign, generate test numbers for a staging environment. The test number generator uses regulator-reserved fiction ranges, so those numbers can never reach a real subscriber.
Do the tools send my data anywhere?
No. The formatting, validation and lookup all happen in the browser using data shipped with the page. Nothing is submitted, logged or stored, which matters if you are pasting a customer list into a formatter.
