How answer rate actually works
Because it includes voicemail, answer rate moves for different reasons than connect rate. A number that has started being labelled will show a falling answer rate before anyone notices the drop in conversations.
Watched per number and per day, it is the earliest available warning of a reputation problem — usually a week or more before the effect is visible in pipeline.
Answer rate also varies by time of day and by region far more than most teams assume, which is why campaign-level averages hide the pattern that would let you fix it.
Answer rate also moves with time of day far more than most teams measure. The same list called at 8am and 4pm in the recipient's own zone can differ by several points, which is a scheduling decision rather than a deliverability one and costs nothing to test.

Branded caller ID puts your business name on the recipient's screen instead of a bare number. In North America it works through CNAM, the caller-name record attached to a number, combined with STIR/SHAKEN signing that lets the terminating carrier trust the call is really from you.
